AscentHR Acquires OS HRS to Cement APAC Payroll Leadership
AscentHR, a leading provider of HR technology, payroll, compliance, and workforce solutions, has announced the strategic acquisition of OS HRS, an APAC-focused payroll outsourcing provider with more than two decades of multi-country payroll delivery experience.
The deal was completed in June 2026 as a single-stage transaction, with AscentHR acquiring 100% of the equity share capital of OS-HRS Malaysia, OS-HRS Japan, and OS-HRS India from BREXA Inc. (formerly Outsourcing Inc.) of Tokyo, Japan — one of the world's largest HR and staffing services groups. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition marks a decisive step in AscentHR's growth strategy across the India–Asia Pacific corridor, significantly deepening its payroll delivery capabilities, compliance expertise, and in-country operations across key markets including India, Japan, China, Malaysia, Korea, and Singapore, along with several other countries spanning Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
The impact is expected to be substantial: the deal is projected to nearly double AscentHR's revenue while significantly expanding its regional customer base and delivery footprint. It also brings a team of over 140 payroll and HR professionals into the AscentHR ecosystem, positioning the combined organisation for accelerated growth in the fast-expanding multi-country payroll and workforce services market.
