Health In Tech (Nasdaq: HIT), an innovative Insurtech platform backed by third-party AI technology, has announced the appointment of Sanjay Shrestha as an independent director to its Board of Directors. Mr. Shrestha will also serve on the Board’s Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Mr. Shrestha currently serves as President of Plug Power, having joined the company in 2019 as Chief Strategy Officer. In his tenure, he has been instrumental in expanding Plug Power’s role in the green hydrogen economy, spearheading efforts to deliver comprehensive solutions including electrolyzers, liquefiers, and cryogenic systems. Under his leadership, Plug also developed and expanded its hydrogen production infrastructure.

Previously, Mr. Shrestha was Global Head of Renewables Research at Lazard Capital Markets, where he earned distinction on the Institutional Investor All America Research team and ranked among the top five global stock pickers. He also led the renewables and industrial research practice at First Albany Capital, where he was recognized by StarMine and Forbes Magazine as the No.1 stock picker and earnings estimator.

In addition to his executive roles, Mr. Shrestha serves as an independent director on the board of Fusemachines, an AI company dedicated to democratizing AI through education and enterprise solutions. He also holds an Honorary Doctorate from Saint Rose College.
