SAP has agreed to acquire Belgian AI company TechWolf, strengthening its capabilities in workforce intelligence, skills mapping and AI-powered talent management. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

TechWolf’s platform gives organisations a continuously updated view of the work employees perform and the skills available across the workforce. Its technology analyses tasks, employee skills and external labour-market data to create a broader picture of workforce capabilities.

SAP plans to integrate TechWolf’s technology into its SAP SuccessFactors portfolio. The combined capabilities are expected to support skills mapping, workforce planning, internal mobility, reskilling, hiring and organisational redesign. This could help HR and business leaders make more informed decisions as AI continues to change job roles and workforce requirements.

The acquisition will also strengthen SAP’s AI strategy. TechWolf’s context graph for work and skills is expected to provide a stronger foundation for AI agents and SAP’s Joule assistant, while helping improve AI-driven use cases such as skills-based hiring, workforce planning and role redesign.

TechWolf will continue operating as an independent entity under CEO and co-founder Andreas De Neve, with its headquarters in Ghent and offices in London, New York and San Francisco. Its platform is also expected to remain available to both SAP and non-SAP customers.

The deal reflects a growing focus among enterprise technology companies on understanding how AI is changing jobs, skills and organisational structures. For SAP, adding TechWolf’s workforce intelligence could help turn employee and skills data into actionable insights for companies undergoing AI-led transformation.
