Leadership · Appointments 3 min read

Consulting Solutions, a Jacksonville, Florida-based technology consulting firm, has appointed retired U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer Don Styer as Executive Vice President, Federal Solutions. In the newly created leadership role, Styer will oversee the company's federal business — driving strategy, growth, profit and loss, and delivery for defense and civilian agency programs as the firm expands its presence across government.

The appointment supports Consulting Solutions' push to deepen its footprint across the federal market, backing modernization initiatives at defense organizations and civilian agencies through a single, integrated consulting model.

"Don is widely recognized for helping government agencies navigate large-scale modernization efforts while driving measurable business outcomes. His strategic vision, operational expertise, and deep understanding of the federal market will help us deliver even greater value to our government clients."

— Billy Milam, CEO, Consulting Solutions

A career spanning defense and federal IT

Styer brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience helping government and commercial organizations modernize operations and execute transformation initiatives. Most recently, he spent 19 years at public-sector IT consultancy Serco, where he served as Chief Technology Officer for North America, leading enterprise technology strategy, digital investments, and growth enablement across government programs.

Before his consulting career, Styer served two decades in the U.S. Navy as an officer in the Navy Supply Corps, latterly as assistant director of logistics training at the Navy's Afloat Training Group, Atlantic. He holds an executive MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School and a bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University.

"I look forward to expanding our presence across the government market by bringing proven solutions to the Department of War and federal agencies that will help them achieve meaningful outcomes and advance their critical missions."
