Kelly Names Alan Stukalsky as Chief Product and Technology Officer
Kelly (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB), the global workforce strategy and solutions provider, has appointed Alan Stukalsky as its chief product and technology officer, effective July 13, 2026. Stukalsky steps into a newly created role on the company's senior leadership team, reporting directly to CEO Chris Layden, with responsibility for product strategy, technology capabilities, and digital innovation across Kelly's portfolio of specialty businesses.
The appointment lands at a defining moment for the staffing sector, where AI is rapidly redrawing the boundaries between technology providers and traditional workforce firms. Layden framed the hire in exactly those terms, arguing that the companies able to weave AI into how they serve clients and candidates will separate themselves from the rest of the market.
"The workforce solutions industry is at an inflection point."
— Chris Layden, CEO, KellyA Newly Created Role with an AI Mandate
According to Layden, the AI transformation is already underway at Kelly — Stukalsky's job is to scale it. His mandate covers driving operational excellence across the enterprise and accelerating the pace at which Kelly ships products that help clients build tech-enabled workforces. For his part, Stukalsky described the timing as an exciting one to join, pointing to Kelly's investment in the technology and products that will determine how it competes in an AI-driven market. His stated priorities: making it easier for clients and candidates to do business with Kelly, embedding AI into the fabric of daily operations, and ensuring the workers Kelly places are equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
Embed AI into how the company operates, simplify the experience for clients and candidates, and equip placed talent with the right tools — that is the incoming CPTO's three-part agenda.
— Stukalsky's priorities, per Kelly's announcementA Career Built on Digital Transformation
Stukalsky brings more than 25 years of technology leadership to the position. He arrives from LHH, part of the Adecco Group, where he served as chief digital and information officer. Before that, he spent over 16 years at Randstad, holding dual executive posts as chief digital officer and chief information officer for North America. Across that career he has led large-scale modernization programs, enterprise platform transformations, cloud migrations, AI-enabled innovation, and the creation of new digital business models.
Beyond the boardroom, Stukalsky has been named Georgia CIO of the Year for large enterprises and is an active advocate for future STEM professionals through organizations including Junior Achievement, Georgia State University's CIS program, and STE(A)M Truck. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Emory University.
