AbsenceSoft Appoints Jaclyn Zhuang as Chief Product Officer Amid Major Growth Milestone
AbsenceSoft, the Denver-based provider of leave and accommodations management SaaS solutions, announced on July 14, 2026 the appointment of Jaclyn Zhuang as Chief Product Officer. The hire lands at a milestone moment for the company, which has just surpassed 10,000 organizations and 8 million employees supported on its platform.
Zhuang's arrival completes an executive bench that AbsenceSoft has assembled over the past six months, joining Chief Technology Officer Kirk Matson, Chief Financial Officer Megan Wood, and Chief Revenue Officer Joe Frassica. As CPO, she will own the company's product strategy, roadmap, and AI integration — bringing practical, purposeful innovation to help employers navigate ever-shifting leave and accommodations requirements while improving the experience for HR teams and employees alike.
"We're pleased to welcome Jaclyn to AbsenceSoft as we hit the next stage of growth."
— Chris Murphy, CEO, AbsenceSoftA Product Leader Built for Enterprise SaaS and AI
Zhuang brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling technology products across enterprise SaaS, AI-native platforms, and global consumer technology. She joins AbsenceSoft from Eightfold AI, the AI-native talent intelligence platform serving Fortune 500 companies, where she served as Vice President of Product and General Manager. Before that, she led the Experience Platform organization at Atlassian, overseeing cloud migration, platform strategy, and AI-powered features across Jira and the broader Atlassian ecosystem.
Murphy noted that as the company scales past its latest milestone, it is doubling down on product innovation to stay ahead of an increasingly complex compliance landscape — and pointed to Zhuang's proven record of building market-leading software and her deep enterprise SaaS background as exactly the right fit for the company's next phase.
"I'm excited to join Chris and the team at such a pivotal time."

The appointment underscores AbsenceSoft's continued investment in product development as employers contend with evolving federal and state leave regulations. The company plans to expand AI-powered capabilities that streamline compliance workflows, automate administrative tasks, and strengthen employee support.
