Enabled Talent Launches Inclusive Employment Platform from Brampton, Expands Globally
AI-powered platform tackles global disability unemployment by making inclusive hiring accessible, scalable, and frictionless.
With more than 600 million people with disabilities worldwide facing unemployment rates between 70–90%, Enabled Talent has officially launched its full-scale inclusive employment platform from Brampton’s Innovation District, marking a major milestone with international expansion beginning in Africa.
Founded by a partially blind entrepreneur and built on the lived experience of its leadership team, Enabled Talent is more than a job board. It is a next-generation, AI-powered ecosystem designed to connect employers with untapped talent while removing barriers to inclusive hiring.
The platform supports governments, employers, colleges, and nonprofits by creating accessible pathways to employment—covering hiring, onboarding, and long-term workplace inclusion.
Each year, the global economy loses more than $1.9 trillion in GDP due to the exclusion of people with disabilities from the workforce. Enabled Talent aims to close this gap by enabling inclusive employment—one accessible job at a time.
“Brampton is proud to be the launching ground for Enabled Talent—a platform that combines innovation with compassion and puts inclusion at the heart of workforce transformation,” said Patrick Brown, Mayor of the City of Brampton. “This global expansion, starting with Africa, showcases how our Innovation District supports startups that turn potential into progress and create opportunities for all.”
“Enabled Talent highlights Brampton’s growing role as a hub for innovation and inclusive growth,” said Gurpartap Singh Toor, Chair of the Economic Development Committee. “Developed right here in our Innovation District, it demonstrates how local creativity can address global challenges like disability employment.”
“Enabled Talent is helping shift the narrative from accommodation to opportunity,” said Eve Adams, Executive Director and President of the Board at the Canadian Business Disability Inclusion Network (CBDIN). “Removing barriers and tapping into disability-inclusive talent pipelines unlocks innovation, resilience, and stronger economic performance.”
“Enabled Talent’s journey from Brampton NEXT to global markets shows what’s possible when purpose meets perseverance,” said Vikram Khurana, CEO of BHive Brampton.
Building an Inclusive Hiring Ecosystem
The launch event brought together leaders from government, innovation, academia, and advocacy, including Councillor Rod Power, Zubair Patel, Chris Carder, Lindsey Mazza, and disability rights activists Mark and Valarie Wafer, all celebrating the platform’s global debut.
Enabled Talent delivers accessibility-first features including:
- Bias-free, AI-powered job matching
- DEI analytics and reporting
- Inclusive onboarding and workplace support
- Accessibility-first platform design
Pilot programs are already underway across Canada, the United States, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Mali, with employer sign-ups, nonprofit partnerships, and university hiring hubs actively launching.
Supporting a Barrier-Free Future
Enabled Talent directly supports Canada’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and the national vision for a Barrier-Free Canada by 2040. By embedding accessibility into hiring systems by design, the platform is helping create a future where employment is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.
