Payslip, the Global Payroll Control Platform, has announced the successful go-live of its customer Houlihan Lokey with Global Payroll Connect (GPC) from Workday, the AI Platform for people, money, and agents. Earlier this year, Payslip became the first vendor-agnostic partner to receive certification for all core features of GPC after its launch in November 2024. The integration has already produced measurable benefits, including an 82% increase in time-to-value for customers like Houlihan Lokey.

Houlihan Lokey has implemented Data Changes on Demand (DCoD), enabling real-time data synchronization between Workday’s HCM and Payslip’s platform. Additionally, customers such as Amer Sports and VentureEd have deployed the External Payroll Documents (ExPD) feature, allowing employees to securely access payslips and tax documents directly in Workday. These features reduce manual workloads, enhance efficiency, and minimize payroll errors.

Efficiency and Cost Savings

One of the key advantages of GPC for Workday customers is faster delivery at lower costs. Traditionally, integrations required contracting systems integrators at significant expense. In contrast, Payslip enabled Houlihan Lokey to go live in just 10 hours, compared to an estimated 56 hours with external developers — at a fraction of the cost.

“Achieving certification so quickly is a testament to our product and development teams’ expertise. We’re delighted that Houlihan Lokey is the first to go live with this GPC functionality, and we have more customers ready to start implementation,” said Fidelma McGuirk, Founder and CEO of Payslip.

Industry Perspective

Mike Brookes, Global Payroll Project Director at Houlihan Lokey, praised the rapid implementation compared to alternative methods like PECI. Cristina Goldt, General Manager of Workforce and Pay at Workday, emphasized the broader impact:

“On average, organizations manage five or more payroll systems, which is time-consuming, costly, and can cause reconciliation issues. With partners like Payslip, we’re making it easier for customers to consolidate payroll operations in Workday, improving access and control over payroll data.”

Maggie Hoang, Workday’s Senior Product Manager for GPC, highlighted the benefits of Payslip’s vendor-agnostic approach:

“You can keep your current providers and still use all of GPC’s features if you choose Payslip.”

Vendor-Agnostic Payroll Integration

Payslip’s full GPC certification ensures Workday customers can maximize GPC benefits while maintaining flexibility. Its vendor-agnostic platform integrates with any payroll provider globally, consolidates and unifies payroll data, and makes it instantly available via Workday dashboards.
