Leading hiring platform Greenhouse announced that its Dream Job feature has been named to TIME’s Best Inventions, an annual list highlighting 300 innovations transforming daily life. Launched in June 2025, Dream Job gives job seekers a competitive advantage by allowing them to designate one application per month as their “Dream Job.”

Unlike traditional application tools designed solely for scale, Dream Job enables recruiters and hiring managers to focus on candidates demonstrating genuine interest and enthusiasm. Users of Dream Job reportedly move through the hiring process approximately 4x faster and achieve quicker placements. The feature is part of MyGreenhouse, providing real-time updates on applications and alerts for relevant opportunities. Since its April 2025 launch, more than 1.5M job seekers and 6,500 companies, including Everlane, Flexport, Guild, Huntress, and NPR, have joined the platform.

“The job market today is fundamentally broken; candidates feel unheard, while recruiters are overwhelmed by the volume of applications. Greenhouse’s Dream Job allows job seekers to tag one position per month as their top choice, helping recruiters quickly identify high-intent candidates,” said Daniel Chait, co-founder and CEO of Greenhouse. “We’re honored to be recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions in 2025 and remain committed to making hiring more human and effective.”

TIME’s annual list is compiled through nominations from editors and correspondents worldwide, alongside an online application process. Innovations are evaluated based on originality, efficacy, ambition, and overall impact, with particular attention to emerging fields like healthcare and AI.
