Skillvue Evolves from Recruitment Tool to Comprehensive Skills Partner with New Funding
With 70% of HR professionals actively seeking skilled talent, many organizations overlook the hidden capabilities within their existing workforce. Skillvue has raised $6.3 million in a new funding round to tackle this challenge head-on, expanding its mission from recruitment to becoming a comprehensive platform for skills discovery, assessment, and development. This brings the company’s total funding to $9.5 million.
The seed round was led by 360 Capital, with continued support from previous investors Italian Founders Fund and 14Peaks Capital, and co-investment from Orbita Verticale.
Unlocking Hidden Talent Across the Workforce
Skillvue’s AI-powered platform is designed to break down traditional job roles into skill components, helping businesses recognize potential that may otherwise go unnoticed. By offering a consistent methodology to assess both candidates and employees, the platform enables organizations to move beyond role-based thinking and make skills the focal point of talent strategy.
Unlike time-consuming traditional assessments, Skillvue provides scalable, cost-effective evaluations that uncover real, practical competencies across all levels of the organization.
Platform and Organizational Growth
Since its September 2024 pre-seed round, Skillvue has experienced 8x growth in annual recurring revenue and plans to double its headcount from 14 to 30 employees by year-end across Italy, Germany, and Canada.
Strategic developments include:
- A Psychometric Team led by AI expert Dr. Tony Lee to ensure scientific rigor in AI assessments
- A Customer Success Team featuring People Scientists to help clients optimize skill strategies
- Enhanced Development and Cybersecurity Teams to scale technology infrastructure
- Separation of AI and Development departments to accelerate both innovation and execution
CEO Vision: Empowering Performance Through AI
“We’re harnessing the power of AI to put skills at the heart of workforce performance,” said Nicolò Mazzocchi, CEO and co-founder of Skillvue. “This investment allows us to evolve our Skill Assessment Agents, helping companies unlock true human potential with smarter recruitment and growth strategies.”
Backing from Strategic Investors
Lucrezia Lucotti, Partner at 360 Capital, commented: “Skillvue is shaping the future of work by redefining how organizations value and develop talent. Their AI-powered platform addresses real business challenges and offers scalable solutions that are already gaining traction across industries.”
Lorenzo Franzi (IFF) and Edoardo Ermotti (14Peaks Capital) added: “Our collaboration with Skillvue has been focused on laying strong foundations for growth. The platform sits at the intersection of two critical trends: AI integration in HR and the shift to skills-based models. These are long-term transformations, not passing trends.”
Scaling with the Market
Skillvue’s continued development of its AI Skills Assessment Agents aligns with rising demand. According to market data, 50% of Italian HR leaders plan to increase AI usage in 2025, with 80% aiming to streamline HR processes through automation and smart tools.
The platform currently serves key clients in retail, banking, insurance, and staffing — including Douglas, Carrefour, Credem, and Randstad. With the new funding, Skillvue plans to expand internationally and enhance its platform to meet the growing demand for skills-based talent management.
