CMD+CTRL Security Redesigns Platform for Enhanced Security Training

CMD+CTRL Security, a leader in software security training, has launched a fully enhanced Base Camp training platform featuring a redesigned user interface, improved navigation, and an expanded feature set to create a more engaging and intuitive learning experience. The updated platform introduces an adventure-driven training journey, helping learners track their progress toward key milestones and continuing professional education credits while completing role-specific curricula to address security vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.

In addition to the UI enhancements, this release includes 15 new courses and hands-on labs designed for software security professionals across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including architects, engineers, developers, and analysts. These courses equip teams with the skills needed to combat emerging threats and reduce organizational risk. Course designs now feature adventure-themed graphics, responsive layouts, and advanced learning tools for an optimized training experience.

New and Enhanced Features in Base Camp

  • More Intuitive and Engaging Interface: The updated Base Camp platform offers an improved user experience, enabling learners to navigate courses easily, track progress, and access resources. Personalized profiles guide users through framework-specific pathways with real-time notifications.
  • Adventure-Themed Navigation: Inspired by mountaineering, the new interface includes an Assigned Adventures hub, a Learning Expedition dashboard for tracking milestones, and gamified progress indicators to enhance engagement.
  • Enhanced Course Management and Tracking: Status indicators show whether courses are mandatory or optional and highlight their progress status—not started, in progress, or completed. Users can also view course availability, upcoming or expired sessions, and required actions.
  • Streamlined Administration: A new synchronization feature enables enterprise customers to seamlessly update user access as their internal HR systems change. Advanced notifications and nudges help ensure timely course completion in compliance with training mandates.

New Courses and Labs

CMD+CTRL Security is introducing two new courses and 13 hands-on labs to help enterprises strengthen security practices and mitigate emerging threats. These additions cover:

  • Cloud database security
  • Preventing API vulnerabilities
  • Python API security best practices
  • Enterprise security tactics from the MITRE ATT&CK framework

Later this year, CMD+CTRL Security will also release expanded content on the 2025 OWASP Top 10 and defense strategies against AI/LLM vulnerabilities.
