iHire has introduced a new interview scheduling tool that enables employers and candidates to schedule interviews directly through the platform’s applicant tracking system (ATS). By syncing online calendars with iHire’s ATS, employers can invite candidates to choose interview slots within pre-selected windows of availability, accelerating the hiring process.
Available for users with a Job Slot subscription, iHire’s interview scheduling feature reduces the back-and-forth emails, calls, and texts typically associated with coordinating interviews. This streamlines communication, enhances applicant engagement, decreases candidate ghosting, and strengthens employer branding.
“In our market research and customer feedback, scheduling interviews and candidate ghosting were identified as key pain points,” said Kyle Gamble, VP of Product at iHire. “Our new tool allows recruiters and hiring managers to seamlessly manage interviews directly from our platform, saving time and providing a positive experience for job seekers.”
How the Tool Works
Employers first sync their Outlook, Google, Windows 365, or Apple calendars with iHire’s ATS, which takes only seconds. They can then:
- Specify available dates and times
- Link preferred virtual meeting platforms
- Provide contact information and physical address
- Set limits on how far out candidates can schedule interviews
Once configured, employers send interview invitations through a candidate’s application page. Candidates receive prompts via email or SMS (if opted in) to select a date and time, with both parties receiving confirmations and calendar invitations. Interviews can also be rescheduled or canceled through iHire, with all activities tracked within the Job Tracker or ATS.
