Yahoo Appoints Josh Line as Chief Marketing Officer to Lead Global Marketing Strategies
Yahoo has announced the appointment of Josh Line as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), where he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global marketing strategies, brand positioning, user acquisition, and customer engagement efforts. Line will report directly to Yahoo CEO Jim Lanzone.
A Seasoned Marketer with a Proven Track Record
Line joins Yahoo after serving as Paramount Global’s Chief Brand Officer, where he was integral to the launch of Paramount+ and the expansion of the company’s direct-to-consumer streaming business. He played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s marketing approach, creating a multiplatform marketing strategy across major brands like CBS, MTV, and Pluto TV. Line also led the company’s rebranding from ViacomCBS to Paramount Global, establishing marketing centers of excellence in key areas such as media, production operations, and social strategy.

Before his time at Paramount, Line led marketing, creative, and digital studios at Comedy Central, Paramount Network, and TV Land. His career in creative excellence and customer-centric innovation was honed at award-winning agencies such as Scratch, Droga5, and Anomaly, where he led campaigns for top brands like GM, BMW, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Disney.
