Payslip Becomes Lead Partner for Workday’s Global Payroll Connect
Payslip, the Global Payroll Control Platform, has announced the successful go-live of its customer Houlihan Lokey using Workday’s Global Payroll Connect (GPC), the AI platform designed for people, money, and agents. Payslip is the first vendor-agnostic partner to receive full certification for every core feature of Global Payroll Connect since Workday introduced the platform in November 2024.
This certified integration has already produced strong results, including an 82% increase in time-to-value for companies like Houlihan Lokey. One standout deployment is the implementation of Data Changes on Demand (DCoD), which provides real-time data synchronization between Workday’s HCM and Payslip’s Global Payroll Control Platform.
Additionally, shared customers such as Amer Sports and VentureEd have gone live with the External Payroll Documents (ExPD) feature, allowing employees to directly access payslips and tax documents within Workday. These features significantly reduce manual tasks and lower the risk of payroll errors.
Efficiency Gains and Cost Savings
One major benefit of Global Payroll Connect is streamlined integration without relying on costly systems integrators. For example, Payslip helped Houlihan Lokey go live with just 10 hours of effort—far less than the 56 hours typically required by external developers and at a much lower cost.
“Achieving certification so quickly is a testament to the expertise of the Payslip team and our commitment to building scalable solutions for Workday customers,” said Fidelma McGuirk, CEO of Payslip. “We’re thrilled to support Houlihan Lokey as the first to go live with this functionality, and other implementations are already underway.”
Houlihan Lokey’s Global Payroll Project Director, Mike Brookes, praised the platform’s speed of implementation, particularly when compared to traditional integration methods like PECI.
Workday’s Vision for Unified Global Payroll
Commenting on the broader benefits of GPC, Cristina Goldt, General Manager of Workforce and Pay at Workday, said: “On average, organizations manage five or more payroll systems, which is both expensive and time-consuming. Our goal is to help customers consolidate global payroll operations within Workday, making data access and control more efficient for employees.”
Maggie Hoang, Workday’s Senior Product Manager for GPC, added: “We love that Payslip is vendor-agnostic. Customers can retain their existing providers while leveraging all of GPC’s features through Payslip.”
Vendor-Agnostic Integration with Global Reach
Payslip’s unique approach allows it to sit on top of any global payroll network, enabling Workday customers to unify data across multiple vendors and access everything through Workday dashboards. This vendor-agnostic model ensures flexibility and scalability for enterprises with complex global operations.
“The partnership with Workday empowers payroll professionals by simplifying global payroll operations and boosting efficiency,” said McGuirk. “As the only fully certified vendor-agnostic partner for GPC, we’re proud to deliver a next-generation payroll experience to our customers.”
