Employee Benefits Product Launch

Arch Insurance Launches New Voluntary Group Insurance Products to Expand Employee Benefits Solutions

HR News · Insurance 3 min read

Arch Insurance North America has announced a new suite of Voluntary Insurance Benefits aimed at helping insurance brokers and agents strengthen the employee benefit portfolios they offer to employers. The suite is built around a growing pain point in the U.S. workforce: rising out-of-pocket medical costs, hospitalization expenses, and travel-related risks that traditional employer-sponsored plans often leave uncovered.

Designed to sit alongside existing medical and benefits programs rather than replace them, the new portfolio offers broad protection with a notable advantage for enrollment: no medical underwriting is required for policy issuance, making the products simple for employees to access.

"Employees increasingly value benefits that provide meaningful financial protection both at home and while traveling."

— Rebecca Raisley, VP of Accident Strategy & Business Development, Arch Insurance

Three Products Targeting Real Coverage Gaps

The suite comprises three offerings. Accident Medical Expense reimburses employees for eligible out-of-pocket medical costs incurred after an accident, subject to policy terms and limits. Hospital Cash Indemnity pays a daily cash benefit directly to employees hospitalized due to accident or sickness — money they can put toward medical bills, transportation, childcare, or other incidental costs during recovery.

The third product, Annual Travel Insurance, provides year-round protection for personal leisure travel under a single annual enrollment, covering employees and their families for multiple trips. Benefits include trip cancellation, emergency medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and baggage delays.

"…these solutions give employers a valuable opportunity to deliver benefits that employees can appreciate…"

— Rebecca Raisley, VP of Accident Strategy & Business Development, Arch Insurance

Expanding a Broader Accident & Health Portfolio

The launch builds on Arch Insurance's wider Accident & Health lineup, which already includes short-term disability, paid family and medical leave (PFML) in statutory states, employee accident and business travel accident coverage, and Medical GAP insurance. Raisley noted that the voluntary suite is designed to address the practical financial gaps many workers encounter today, from accident-related expense reimbursement to travel protection for personal trips.

Arch Insurance North America is part of Arch Capital Group Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACGL), an S&P 500 company with approximately $26.9 billion in capital as of March 31, 2026, providing insurance, reinsurance, and mortgage insurance worldwide through its subsidiaries.
